Critical Perspective
Critical perspective means the ways judging literary texts by using literary theories. The word “critical” is derived from the Greek word which means “to judge", and the word “perspective” is from the Latin word which means “optical.” So, we should understand that any literary texts can be analysed through different perspectives. We all know that different readers have different views, responses or perspectives for the same literary texts. Thus, literary theories have been developed for explaining different people’s views and responses to literature rather than proving one’s views the best or correct. Mainly, literary theory attempts to find value in all views that are based on a careful study of any literary texts.
